The Property

The 7 Hares
is a pretty two bedroom wooden lodge, nestled into Sheringwood, Beeston Regis, an area of outstanding natural beauty and 2 miles south east of Sheringham. The 7 Hares name came about because hares in the Buddhist tradition symbolise peace and tranquillity and coincidentally, the owners spotted seven hares playing in the nearby fields.

Built by the current owners, the contemporary eco building was designed by London architects ArtIsMedicine, with light and views from every aspect as the priority. The building sits proudly within the landscape and the Velux windows, doors and windows enhancing Norfolk's big skies. Internally and externally, the building reflects the personality and careers of both owners, through sculpture, art, lighting and design and is beautifully styled with flair and colour, giving it an inviting and welcoming feel. The owner's unique handmade jewellery is also exhibited in a cabinet on the ground floor.

The 7 Hares is cleverly styled throughout and arranged over two floors, with a fabulous open plan sitting and dining space, loo and wet room/shower on the ground floor and two kings size bedrooms and en-suite bathroom on the first floor. A fantastic coastal retreat for friends and family to re-charge, accommodating up to four guests in total.

There is plenty of parking space on the gravelled area at the front of the property and you will be welcomed by your fabulous hosts Annie and Katrina on your arrival. The 7 Hares is accessed through the French doors, from the decked entrance, adorned with eclectic sculptures, plants and twinkly lighting, which leads directly into the main living space.

The impressive sitting room is painted white with a full height ceiling, sculptural lighting, art and lamps. It is very much designed for comfortable and sociable living with plenty of seating, including three sofas, arm chairs with colourful cushions, a contemporary coffee table and side tables and a hidden television in a cabinet. Each space is dotted with interesting pieces of art and sculptures. There are windows or doors on each wall, bringing in the wonderful light and with views to the outside. In the sitting room, there is a beautiful contemporary Bio Ethanol fire, creating a cosy atmosphere for curling up on the sofa and chatting or reading a book. (One bottle of lighter fluid is provided for you).

The sitting room leads through to a modern and well fitted kitchen, with fridge freezer, fan assisted oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The bar stools at the breakfast bar provide the perfect space for sharing breakfast together and the glass dining table, seating four creates a sociable space for eating together. The gravel garden area, accessed from the French doors in the sitting room is ideal for enjoying al fresco dining in the summer months and with a barbeque provided. The kitchen and bathrooms have underfloor heating. A Nespresso machine is also provided but please do bring your own pods if you wish to use.

On the first floor, there are two bedrooms arranged off the landing. The principal bedroom has a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom, divided by a partition wall and with a loo, bath and walk in shower. There is even a desk, should you have to do a bit of work whilst you are away. Bedroom Two also has a queen size bed with bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a cleverly exposed hanging rail for your clothes. The Velux windows in the bedrooms give maximum light and create the feeling that you are sleeping under the stars.
