Truwell is a super cute period detached cottage in the pretty village of Foulsham, boasting two double bedrooms, both en suite, sitting room, open plan kitchen diner and a courtyard garden with a Hot Tub, Pizza Oven and BBQ / Fire Pit.
The cottage dates back to the early 18th century and retains charming character features throughout, such as exposed beams and exposed brickwork, a vaulted ceiling in the principal bedroom, and a wood-burning stove. Yet, it has been sympathetically renovated to create a comfortable and modern living space.
The sitting room to the front of the cottage, is flooded with natural light from the two bay windows. There are three sofas to relax in front of the TV or wood burning stove, or curl up on with a book from the bookshelf. The kitchen diner is to the rear of the cottage with French doors opening out to the courtyard garden beyond. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, with an electric hob, fan assisted oven, dishwasher, free standing fridge, small freezer and washing machine. Everything you need to rustle up something delicious for lunch or supper if you are not out exploring Norfolk. There is a downstairs loo off the kitchen.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms. The principal bedroom to the front of the cottage has an impressive vaulted ceiling, king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and an en suite shower room. Bedroom Two is across the landing to the rear of the cottage looking out over the courtyard garden below. There is a double bed, dressing table and cupboard for storage, along with an en suite shower room.
Outside
The cottage is accessed from the side and there is free kerbside parking outside the cottage and along the lane to either side.
The courtyard garden to the rear is walled and fully enclosed with a super inflatable hot tub, to relax in some bubbles after a day at the beach. There is a gas Ooni pizza oven and a charcoal BBQ / Fire Pit, hidden in the garden table. With pretty lighting, this is the perfect spot to enjoy some al fresco dining or breakfast in the sunshine before heading out.
There is The Queens Head a few minutes stroll away, as is the village shop, in the other direction.

The cottage is a lovely property situated in Foulsham which at first we thought was somewhat remote but soon discovered it is only 30 minutes from the Coast, Norwich and the Broads. The property was very clean and had all amenities available including a hot tub and pizza oven, which our boys were particularly happy with! The Queens Head pub (2 minute walk) is very welcoming and we had a lovely meal with excellent service from Jane. The village shop should not be relied upon, however, Fakenham is the nearest town.

Foulsham is a historic North Norfolk village surrounded by the open countryside. Situated slightly inland, the village is a short drive from the Georgian market town of Holt, where there are many shops and amenities including a lovely monthly Sunday market with lots of artisan makers, food stalls and music. Foulsham is home to the Queens Head pub, an ideal spot to replenish after a days walking on one of the many footpaths around Foulsham, or a day on the coast. There is also a local shop.
The market town of Fakenham is a short 15 minute drive away, with four supermarkets to choose from to stock up the cupboards.
The beautiful North Norfolk coastline is easily accessible and Foulsham is a good point to explore the coast in both directions.
