Christmas in Holt 2024
Once a year, this historic North Norfolk town transforms into a winter wonderland with thousands of sparkling Christmas lights illuminating the town. This year all the local shops, eateries and traders are coming together and bringing us all sorts of festivities over a whole weekend that you won’t want to miss! Whilst there isn’t the usual fiasco of fireworks and the countdown, there will no doubt still be a warm buzz throughout the town and twinkling lights, live music, late night shopping and all the best food and drink Holt has to offer! Be sure to come on down, have some fun and support the Holt community!
Friday 15th Nov: Twinkling lights, live music, late night shopping and all the best food and drink Holt has to offer! Bakers & Larners Christmas window will be revealed at 9am! The little ones can also meet Father Christmas in the Bakers & Larners grotto between 4pm-6pm. They’ll even receive a confectionery treat! A suggested donation of £2 which will go towards Festive Holt charities. Holt Fish Bar will be open as usual but with their Christmas menu! In the evening, there will be mini markets in the yards and many of the shops will be open for a spot of late night shopping and live music throughout town. Don’t miss Make Holt‘s Christmas Light Switch On with mulled wine, nibbles and the Sheringham Shantymen from 6:30! There will be an outside bar in Franklyns Yard, courtesy of Michael’s Bistro, Cross Street Union will be looking festive and serving mince pie buns & mulled wine and lots, lots more!
Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th Nov: Lots more entertainment and stalls! Put on your best (or worst) Christmas jumper on Saturday as they’ll be a prize for the best one! Chapel Yard will be hosting festive markets with takeaway BBQ pork belly rolls and mulled wine, live music and the outside bar in Franklyns Yard! You can find more food heaven and lovely stalls over in Bakers Yard! Sunday is a chance to enjoy an extra day of Christmas shopping amongst the twinkling lights.
The Kings Head & The Feathers will also be decked out beautifully – who doesn’t love falling into a cosy pub on a winters evening!?
