Norfolk is hands down one of the most dog friendly places in the UK to bring your four-legged friends and staying in one of our gorgeous pet friendly holiday cottages is the best way to enjoy it.
From amazing dog friendly beaches and woodland walks to cosy pubs and hotels to choose from, there is no reason to be leaving your beloved dogs behind when coming to Norfolk.
North Norfolk is renowned for it’s beautiful coastline and what makes it even more popular is how many dog friendly beaches can be found. Fantastic wild spaces to let the four legged family members stretch their legs.
Dog Friendly Beaches
North Norfolk beaches like Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster, Holkham to the West and Cromer, Overstrand & Mundesley to the East; to name but a few. All welcome dogs either at certain times of the year or all year round.
Some beaches require dogs to be on a lead but on many you can let your pet properly stretch their legs and have a good run. It’s a good plan to ensure that your dog(s) know how to behave if they meet another free-roaming hound though. And don’t forget to take a good supply of poop bags with you, there are usually plenty of doggy bins at the beaches for you to dispose of any droppings!
Dog Friendly Pubs & Cafes
Because this area is so popular with dog owners, we are very lucky to have lots of pubs, restaurants and cafes that are happy to welcome both four legged and two legged guests to dine. There are so many fabulous places to choose from, it would take too long to list. The best advice is to check individual websites or give the establisment a call to check if you can bring your pet along.
