Accessed from a pay and display car park, Weybourne beach is a wild spot. This is a lovely stretch of quiet pebble beach is banked by dramatic cliffs. There are wonderful views West back to Blakeney point and East along the cliffs to Sheringham.
The shingle bank which is ideal for shore fishing, it is not so good for swimming as it gets deep quickly.
Said to once be the haunt of smugglers as it was easy to land large boats full of contraband here. These days you are more likely to see fishermen than smugglers.
There are miles of walking paths around weybourne beach and you can tie a walk along the cliffs back to stunning Sheringham Park. If you really want to stretch your legs, you can walk all the way into Sheringham itself, 3 miles away, and treat yourself to some fish & chips or an ice cream.
At the top of Beach Road is a charming village shop and cafe and a The Ship Inn a great pub serving tasty food and with a great beer garden.
