Christmas in Holt 2024
Once a year, this historic North Norfolk town transforms into a winter wonderland with thousands of sparkling Christmas lights illuminating the high street, and this year all the local shops, eateries and traders are coming together and bringing us all sorts of festivities that you won’t want to miss. Whilst there isn’t the usual fiasco of fireworks and the countdown, there will no doubt still be a warm buzz throughout the town and a steady flow of mulled wine and mince pies! Be sure to come on down, have some fun and support the Holt community!
Friday 15th: Twinkling lights, live music, late night shopping and all the best food and drink Holt has to offer! Bakers & Larners Christmas window will be revealed at 9am! The little ones can also meet Father Christmas in the Bakers & Larners grotto between 4pm-6pm. They’ll even receive a confectionery treat! A suggested donation of £2 which will go towards Festive Holt charities. Many of the shops will be open for a spot of late night shopping, also with beautiful window displays to entice you and live music throughout town. Cross Street Union will be looking festive and serving mince pies, buns & mulled wine, Eric’s Fish & Chips will be open as usual and running a Tombola and lots more!
Saturday 16th: Family day of fun with lots of entertainment and stalls! Put on your best (or worst) Christmas jumper on Saturday as they’ll be a prize for the best one! Chapel Yard will be hosting festive markets on Saturday and Sunday with takeaway BBQ pork belly rolls and mulled wine, live music, and an outside bar in Franklyns Yard, courtesy of Michael’s Bistro! You can find more food heaven and lovely stalls over in Bakers Yard! Sunday is a chance to enjoy an extra day of Christmas shopping amongst the twinkling lights. The Kings Head & The Feathers will be decked out beautifully too and who doesn’t love falling into a cosy pub on a winters evening?!
Sunday 17th: Yards Day – a day to celebrate Holt’s unique shopping yards all decorated for Christmas and the delicious food stalls continue!
