MEET SARAH

A few twists of fate have taken me criss-crossing the world to North Norfolk, and here I’ve stayed. It’s a beautiful and special place to call home.

I’m a simple soul who is most happy when out in nature, wandering along a foreshore, exploring saltmarsh surroundings by boat or on my allotment plots, gardening. I love travel and I have been privileged to see many special places in the world at a time when it was nostalgically adventurous and offered the opportunity to explore destinations only just opening up to intrepid travellers. A few twists of fate brought me to North Norfolk – and here I’ve stayed. It is indeed a beautiful, special place, one that I contentedly call home. I can’t imagine living away from a coastline now. I think, for me, it’s the feeling of s p a c e. It is somehow that sense of space and freedom I embraced whilst adventuring that North Norfolk now provides too. A stand-out memory of travelling times was the privilege to have been so welcomed into many a home whilst on the road. Sarah’s hopes to emulate those same principles of hospitality and generosity of spirit.

FREELANCE STYLING

Interior styling has become an accidental creative outlet for all those associated experiences and visual elements encountered and absorbed whilst on the road. I have been privileged to invent schemes, source stock and dress some of the top Norfolk commercial hospitality spaces, all good experience before deciding on the design direction of Sarah’s.

To make for an ever-changing scene, a selection of items are always for sale. Maybe you will find the perfect souvenir of your stay too.

I am available for freelance styling, offering both dressing a house for sale or for potential rental, and offering interiors advice. I can provide an hourly or day rate accordingly. Current projects include styling a set of seasonal photoshoots for the beautiful Meet You At Six beach hut for day rate hire in Wells and sourcing, styling and dressing a recently refurbished Georgian townhouse in Holt.

THE APARTMENT

Formerly a Victorian beer and wine merchant and latterly a 20th Century tea shop and bakery, Sarah’s latest incarnation is a townhouse apartment sleeping four in glorious Georgian Holt.

ALLOTMENT

Whilst townhouse life prohibits attached gardening, I tend two allotment plots just a short walk away. Two new bee hives in an orchard setting have already yielded honey and predictable rows of veg make way for structures and still-life’s, Everything’s to hand for cooking, eating, and washing up too! Friends speak of it as a truly special place, somewhere to cultivate, and sit and contemplate. Seasonal produce and fresh herbs find their way to Sarah’s kitchen alongside fresh flowers in season.

NELSON

Nelson is my first car, we’ve been together some fifteen years now, he’s a 1967 Morris Minor saloon and he’s Trafalgar Blue, hence the name! Nelson. Nelson and I can be hired to add a unique touch of vintage class to your special occasion and local train station stay pick-ups too.  

A stay at Sarah’s marks the culmination of this rather unique blend of travel, hospitality, gardening, interiors, styling, Nelson and North Norfolk.  I look forward to hosting you – Sarah.
