The Cottage

Staithe View is an exceptional cottage, immaculately presented and beautifully cared for, this pretty property offers everything you could need for a relaxing and comfortable stay just a stones throw from the coastal path and within easy reach of all that the North Norfolk coastline has to offer.

Tucked away on a quiet cul de sac, Staithe View is approached from the shared, private parking area to the rear.

The cottage offers a cosy sitting room to the front, with a wood burning stove and comfy sofas to relax and recount the day's adventures on the coast. There is even a handy downstairs loo located in the hallway at the foot of the stairs.

The open plan kitchen diner is perfect for sociable food preparation and comfortable dining inside the cottage and the garden room offers a bright and warm spot to find some down time with a book or a magazine with the French doors open to the rear courtyard. There is even an additional table and chairs in the garden room to enjoy a morning coffee if it's too chilly to sit outside.

Upstairs are two generous double bedrooms. The principal bedroom to the front of the house, looks out over the front garden and has a king size bed, a wall of fitted wardrobes, a TV and two chests of drawers, so ample storage for even the most enthusiastic of holiday packers. The en suite to the principal bedroom is lovely, with a large shower enclosure with mains pressure rainfall shower, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

Bedroom Two has a bathroom immediately adjacent, for the exclusive use of guests staying in this room and boasts the most lovely view through the trees to the saltmarsh beyond. You even have a birds eye view of the famous houseboat that is daily left high & dry on the marsh with the receding tide. This bedroom offers a double bed with king size duvet, freestanding wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables for guests.

Outside

Staithe Cottage is lucky enough to boast two garden areas. There is a lovely enclosed, lawned garden to the front of the cottage with a patio area immediately outside the front door, with a table and chairs, so you can relax in the sunshine and enjoy the garden.

To the rear is a lovely enclosed courtyard garden with pretty planted pots. Accessed from the parking area and leading into the rear of the cottage, there is a table and chairs here too. Perfect for an al fresco glass of something delicious whilst supper is being prepared.

The large shared parking area is immediately outside the gravelled parking area and offers ample parking for the cottages that use it.

Our second visit to Staithe View. The cottage is presented again in excellent order. The owners have taken care in the selection of decor, furnishings and kitchen equipment. The paintings and photographs show the glories of Norfolk now and the past and there is plenty of relevant tourist information. We use Staithe View as an excellent base for birdwatching (RSPB at Titchwell ) and the marshes behind the cottage. A must for any Ruth Galloway fans. Local shopping is useful, an excellent pub, the White Horse, a short stroll on the footpath at the edge of the marsh.

Location

Staithe View is located on a quiet cul de sac in the coastal village of Burnham Deepdale. It is fantastic location, literally a minutes walk to the coastal path and with no passing traffic at all, the cottage boasts a beautiful view of the saltmarsh from bedroom two.

Burnham Deepdale is located on the coast road, with Burnham Market a few miles directly inland and Brancaster Staithe and Brancaster just minutes away to the West. Brancaster Staithe is so close, you will barely notice the transition between the villages and the famous White Horse pub is within easy walking distance of the cottage, either along the coastal path or on the pavement.

Literally two minutes walk from the cottage is the brilliant Dalegate Market which is home to an eclectic but interesting array of shops, including Fat Face and The One Stop Nature Shop (selling scopes and binoculars), a cosy cafe, petrol station and of course the Deepdale Stores (a very upmarket version of the average village shop!)

Distance to Beach : Around 5 mins in the car. (There is parking at the beach)
Distance to Shop: 2 mins walk10 mins walk
Distance to Supermarket: 20 mins driving to Tesco in Hunstanton
Distance to Golf Courses: 5 mins to Brancaster and 20 mins to Hunstanton
